Short idea on the Parsha here:
Dear Community,
As you know we’ve embarked on a transformative renovation of our hall that will enhance its beauty and functionality. As a result, the 8:45, 9:30, and youth minyans will be davening together for the next two months in the main shul, starting at 9:05 with ברכות השחר. While this may seem like a challenge, I view it as a fantastic opportunity for us to strengthen our kehilla and deepen our connections with one another.
Here’s how we can make the most of this period:
Embrace Flexibility: Adjusting to new seating arrangements and logistics may take some time. We appreciate your flexibility, patience and cooperation. Please be considerate and avoid asking others to move from their seats if they’re sitting where you usually sit. No one likes to be asked to move their seat.
Unify Our Tefillot: With Am Yisrael in urgent need of רחמים מן השמים, let’s seize this opportunity to daven together as one. Our united tefillot can make a powerful impact - תפילת הציבור נשמעת תמיד.
Foster a Respectful Atmosphere - ואהבת לרעך כמוך: Let’s create an environment where everyone respects each other, can focus on their davening and listen to the kriat haTorah without interruptions. Be mindful of those around you, as you never know what struggle or challenge they may be facing in life and davening for.
Engaging Our Children: We want our kids to actively participate in the tefillah. Let’s set a positive example for them in the Beit Knesset, demonstrating אהבה ויראת שמים. We have a special program for children in grades aleph to vav to daven alongside their parents and then enjoy some shoko and Torah in the side sukkah, after the first two aliyot.
Connect with One Another: Our community is richly diverse, encompassing various ages and backgrounds. Take this opportunity to introduce yourself to new faces and build connections with those you haven’t met before.
Participate with Kavanah: Join in the davening with enthusiasm. Sing, participate, and help uplift those around you with your kavanah.
Let’s come together to make this period of transition a time of growth and unity.
Wishing you all Shabbat Shalom🇮🇱💪
Rav Bendavid
